The difference between TeamCreator, SymbaSync, and TalentSourcing

SymbaSync is the creator of TeamCreator, SymbaSync TalentSourcing, RecruitmentDay, and other HR talent management software. TeamCreator is specifically used to create project teams from amongst employees, contractors, and potential new hires. SymbaSync TalentSourcing broadcasts roles and instantly ranks all candidates based on their merits of the match; TalentSourcing can be activated for an additional fee within TeamCreator. All SymbaSync products do their best to remove any personal bias from the selection process when assembling teams.

How To Get Started

Time and energy it takes to start

Onboard employees/contractors within an hour of initial log in to their account. Depending on the size and use case, it usually takes a maximum of 2-weeks for employees and project leaders to fully onboard and begin seeing optimal results. However, we recommend an “onboarding day” where every participant sets aside an hour before leaving to start their onboarding.

Incentivised on-boarding service

TeamCreator offers a proven service that awards employees for creating their TeamCreator profile, completing the profile, and inviting friends or team members to complete a profile. TeamCreator’s parent company, SymbaSync, offers a complete onboarding service that includes awards such as branded coffee mugs, mobile phone stands, and USB power ports. Gift awards are proven to increase the number of people onboarded and speed of onboarding if there is a potentially reluctant workforce. Available to enterprise only

Data upload options

TeamCreator, along with a few minor account creation items, only needs email addresses to start the automated invite process. These can be added individually, copied and pasted, uploaded via CSV file, or (for enterprise) transferred via API stems.

Any additional details about employees or projects can be uploaded via a spreadsheet if desired.

Customisation

Customization occurs automatically for all customers upon onboarding. Additional TeamCreator customization is available for Enterprise customers.

Pricing and Billing

How time and money savings works

Every minute someone spends trying to determine who is available costs money. Every employee that leaves because they are being overlooked for projects or don’t feel included is lost money (replacement cost). Every employee that is disenfranchised with the company, type of work, lack of challenge, or always winding up on the same projects become less enthusiastic and underperform.

TeamCreator subscription cost

Multiply the number of monthly users by the monthly price; discounts may be applied for annual subscriptions based on tiers.

Annual subscription pricing

In addition to monthly subscriptions, TeamCreator is also available as an annual subscription. Annual subscriptions may offer a discount depending on the number of users purchased. To purchase TeamCreator as an annual subscription, simply start a free trial and follow at point of payment you will be invited to choose monthly or annual.

How users count towards billing

You can add and remove users as your participants change. At the end of each monthly billing cycle, you will be billed for the following month’s subscription-based on the exact number of TeamCreator users you have. For annual subscriptions, you will be billed for the tier that most closely matches your user count.

Payment options

Monthly subscriptions are payable by credit card (MasterCard, Visa, or American Express), or PayPal. Annual subscriptions can be paid via credit card, bank transfer, or check.

Cancellations and refunds

If you’re not satisfied with any SymbaSync product or service, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. No questions asked.

How monitoring deployment improves overall revenue per employee

TeamCreator allows you to monitor the amount of time an employee is deployed on a project(s) so you may achieve the optimum employee/contractor deployment of 80-90% (2019 Consulting.org report with Statistica). This percentage ensures the highest level of Return on Employee Investment without causing burnout or reduction in productivity.

Return on Investment and Return on Employees

TeamCreator provides a 2x to 10x return on the cost of investment in the software.

By shortening the deployment time and increasing employee engagement, the number of teams that can be deployed is maximized; this increases the number of times a team can be deployed and decreases the length of time from project go-ahead to revenues/benefits.

Employee turnover is shown to be reduced as a result of increasing employee satisfaction and increasing happiness derived from additional skill development, diverse experiences, and transparency. This means each new hire has a longer-term increased value and decreased cost of turnover.

Why use TeamCreator?

TeamCreator reduces bias and increases diversity

All potential team members are kept anonymous until they agree to be considered for a role. In addition, candidates always appear ranked by the merits of the match and without anything that would contribute to initial bias. This increases the likelihood of people assembling project teams to look strictly at the quality or merits of the match.

TeamCreator helps reduce the team formation time to minutes

With every employee’s complete career skill knowledge, availability, and (where appropriate) cost, someone assembling a project team simply sees each individual available for a role ranked for each role on the team. From there automation takes place, with top matches automatically emailed. Often by the time each of the team-member role on a project team is inputted, candidates have already clicked to express interest in already available roles. This takes the guess-work out of trying to find who is available, interested, and qualified. Our international users have returned seven-person project teams from around the globe within 15-minutes.

TeamCreator eliminates Skill Database management time completely

TeamCreator automates the updating and validating of skills on profiles plus any necessary reminders to employees/contractors to update their profiles with new information.

Automated skill database updates and maintenance

TeamCreator automatically asks for peer verification of skills and tasks completed by team-members at the end of each project. If some skills were developed during the project, the participants are asked to add it themselves. In addition, every 6-months, each employee/contractor is asked to verify their profiles to make sure it is completely up-to-date.

Dispersed workforce and timezones

TeamCreator works across all timezones for dispersed workforces. Upon request, it may simultaneously be used in multiple languages.

Remove unintended (or intended) bias against team members

Research shows people responsible for assembling teams overwhelmingly assemble people with whom they are most like-minded and with whom they have a history. This keeps the teams from being diverse in both personal traits and skills. Furthermore, they tend to be limited to the knowledge of their background and interests that they’ve been made aware of, not accounting for the unknown skills, knowledge, or personal preferences of a potential team-member. This often results in having team members with the same skin color, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, educational background, socio-economic class, age, and more.

TeamCreator may increase employee satisfaction numbers

Employers, on average, report an increase in overall employee satisfaction of over 110% within two weeks of launching TeamCreator. Employees say it is “due to the transparency and feedback TeamCreator provides to them instantly.”

Completely automated engagement

TeamCreator automatically sends and receives emails to all participants depending on where they are in the process. This means a project assembly professional no longer needs to spend time crafting emails or calling potential team members; they just click a button and let TeamCreator do the correspondence for them.

Collect client revenues or project results more quickly

By using TeamCreator you will deploy project teams more quickly. When you do that means less time until you collect payment or receive the results of the project.

All sectors, sizes, and industries

Yes. TeamCreator utilizes skill history, experience, preferences, availability, and other merit-based criteria making it usable across multiple industries, sizes, structures, and sectors; including for-profit, non-profit, government, and educational organizations.

Reduce employee turnover (employee churn)

TeamCreator increases the ability to deploy employees, utilize the knowledge that may have gained in other roles, and challenge employees in new ways across new projects. These items are known to increase employee dedication to an organization and therefore reduce the likelihood that they will leave for a new opportunity.

TeamCreator increases transparency

TeamCreator allows each employee/contractor to see every detail of how well they match with a particular project, where they may need to develop additional skills to be considered in the future, and what opportunities exist throughout the company without having to search for them. but also encourages the person assembling the team to provide feedback to any candidate that isn’t chosen who has expressed interest. This enables them to understand why they may have been past over and identifies what skills and experience they may need to evolve to be considered for certain roles in the future.

Enable cross-training, skill development, and new challenges

64% (70% in consulting) of employees cite the reason they departed their jobs is due to the siloing of skills and a lack of new challenges.

Identifying employees that are close to being top matches for a role in a particular project, but lack sufficient experience in one skill, the opportunity is presented to deploy that employee and allow them to develop that particular skill through that project role. Therefore, employee satisfaction increases while reducing their desire to look elsewhere to be challenged or gain new experiences.

The value of project role transparency

Employee satisfaction may as much as 110% given the positive outlook per employee on their employer as a result of knowing all the types of project roles available and how well they fit with those potential roles.

The opportunity to have access to this information informs employees on what skills they need to develop, why they may be passed over for certain roles, and how they may be challenged in new ways.

In addition to increasing employee happiness, these numbers directly correlate to a reduction in employee turnover, i.e. employees who view more opportunities within their organization and experience more transparency are happier with their employer, even if they are not chosen for the roles in the short-term.

Results will start quickly

Employee engagement and satisfaction will increase quickly as they are able to view all project teams and how well they would fit on those teams. The deployment will improve dramatically within two weeks (once onboarding is complete) but this depends on how many projects, employees, and overall activity you have on your TeamCreator system.

Employees prefer TeamCreator to other products

The top reasons employees and contractors say that they like TeamCreator:

  1. Transparency of roles available on teams
  2. Transparency on how will they fit for each role
  3. Appreciation for knowing they may be called on if they are the best available for a role
  4. Knowing that there might be other opportunities available for them within the organization
  5. Not having to search for potential opportunities, the opportunities just come to them when they are a great fit
